Honest take: both Norway and the person responding are correct.

We have a shitty healthcare system for most people (while costing the most in the world, by far) and a crumbling infrastructure.

We also waste a shitload of money on military stuff protecting every single country in the world except for our own. Bring our troops home, make other countries pay for our military services (we can be nice: at cost), and protect our own damn borders with extreme violence (seriously).

They should be put on a subscription service.

Agreed.

Want to use our military, pay for it.

The American Mercenary Concept, I like it :)

It’s been done before… the Hessians were brought here by king George

We produce a massive amount of force. Why not export it at a price to other nations who need it and actually make some of the fucking money back?

We also have a healthcare system clogged up with muh beetus bullshit. You have a nation of people bitching about healthcare that big daddy government isn't helping with while taking pisspoor care of their own bodies.

Good point. This comes up a lot. But I've never heard a good solution for this.

Do you have a solution for America's obesity epidemic?

The solution has to be cultural. It isn't some switch we can flip sort of solution.
