We also have a healthcare system clogged up with muh beetus bullshit. You have a nation of people bitching about healthcare that big daddy government isn't helping with while taking pisspoor care of their own bodies.

Ambulances is only one problem.

One of the biggest issues that doesn't get talked about for some reason, is young men (mostly) are running into a problem where they make too much money to get any kind of government assistance... but they don't have insurance through their job or w/e, so every doctor's visit costs hundreds of dollars- tests costs thousands of dollars sometimes. You pay to see the doctor, and for whatever they perform, and then for the prescriptions.

With costs the way they are now, it's creating this "working poor" class of people who work hard, put in a lot of hours, but can't fucking get ahead. I know this feeling of spinning your wheels because most of your paycheck is being stolen from you in taxes and the system is geared to only be helpful to the completely useless poor, or what remains of the "upper middle class" and upwards. Everyone else is fucked. This "working poor" is working to pay for the system that is meant to help them when struggling with medical bills or food or w/e... but they "make too much money" to take advantage of them, even though they can prove their expenses!

That alone wouldn't be a problem, but meanwhile, Tyrone a few blocks up the street hasn't worked a day in 8 years, aside from a 4 hour shift at a Wendy's (where he was promptly fired for stealing); and he's got all of his living expenses paid, with extra money on top of it somehow. It's fucking infuriating to know that there's so many people living off of your hard work, and they fucking hate you and wouldn't lift a finger to help you, ever. But they get to have 5 children. We responsible people try to save money and time a child's birth when we know we can take care of them, but irresponsible behavior is rewarded. It's all fucking backwards, the government should be paying the "working poor" to have kids in order to continue holding the workforce together.
