Not true at all.

Abbott won with 2/3rds the vote.

Cruz barely won his re-election because he had just opposed Trump and Texans didn't like him.

MSM use the Beto/Cruz election to show Texas is turning blue, but that's a lie.

The "blue" is immigration from out of the country. The blueness mirrors demography (ie non-Whiteness) perfectly. I don't doubt that whatever liberals move from California to Austin or some shit. But what I'm saying is it's dwarfed by actual immigration.
