I wouldn't go in hard on that Deep State Q theory. If there was any foul play at all (I'm not convinced there was), it was probably because Patton was like: "Well, I'm a midget, but I'm a charming midget worth like $30 Million, so maybe I trade up and get rid of this obsessive, annoying pillhead so I don't have to have an expensive divorce."
