I know, I was talking when you upload an image to pic8, then pic8 strips the exif data and uploads it to its many hosts.

It could also be that the host has been compromised (might explains the malwarebyte warning).

the issue definitely appears to be with bayimg. And no, pic8 doesn't send a referred, unless it's necessary to upload (like setting the referrer to the homepage of the image host)

Pic8 uploads to the host without issue, checks the health of the image link without issue. It's only when other users are trying to view the bayimg hosted image that their malwarebytes blocks it

Or are you getting at something else?

I've noticed some hosts add "pic8" in the url of the images they are serving when pic8 redirects a user to them.

For example:

https://c1.jsos.pw/ppkey/fget/pic8/upload/uYwT9JTujw.jpeg

That's specific to jsos.pw (@x0x7's project)

pic8 uses an account created on jsos to upload to that host.
