Ohio state senator in Zoom meeting about distracted driving…. while driving! (Report)
Sen. Andrew Brenner used a fake Zoom background of a home office to give the illusion he had not left his house during a recent state meeting.
The lawmaker was partaking on a distracted driving bill - which ‘calls for a ban on writing, sending or reading texts, viewing videos or taking photos, live streaming, and using applications while driving.’
Sen. Brenner was making a point that video calls “are like phone calls,” stating: “I wasn’t distracted. I was paying attention to the driving and listening to it.” (The Columbus Dispatch)
