I worked at a major corporation that started a complicated and confusing recyling program with different color cans at every desk for office paper, regular trash and wet trash. I think they may have won some award for the effort. However if you were in your cubicle after hours when the janitors came through, you saw that they had one big bin where they dumped all three cans.
They came around my office a year or two ago making sure everyone has a trash and recycling bin at their desk, but there is only one dumpster outside the building.
I’m not surprised. At my work, businesses are required, by city ordinance, and they run the garbage collection, to have a paper recycle and compost recycle can on the property for regular pick up. The compost can is literally for your food scraps. Fucking bullshit. We really don’t have the room for all these cans so I called them and had them pick them up and never bring them back. Turns out it’s not so much a law after all. It’s a lib shot town btw. Of course.
They did at my work too until the recycling police came and caught them. California...
