The wealthy don't pay taxes anyway. They use the tax code that has been rigged in their favor to legally avoid paying taxes as much as possible. And when that's not enough, they move their assets to a foreign nation that allows them to shelter and obscure their wealth. Tax cuts on the rich don't hurt the middle class tax payers much. Having a $1.9 trillion stimulus bill filled with $1.6 trillion dollars worth of pork for wealthy political donors and cronies hurts the middle class immeasurably. Taxes were never intended for anyone but the middle class to bear.
