I've been saying for years that it was fast-food stores that are the ones promoting $15 an hour wages so that they can replace people with machines.

I've been saying for years I would rather punch my order into a screen and have a machine flip my burger, at least it will get it right and not leave spit in your food.

I would pay extra just to watch a machine make my food.

They could do it regardless

In this way they get multiple wins: replace employees with machines, kill small businesses that cant afford it, and then feign 'woe is me' while they fire employees for the same affordability reason.

Good news!!!

Just like those kike registers "forget" to apply sales / coupons / rewards randomly and fuck me out of money, I too forget to scan all of my items!

It's an odd bug!

You mean that I'm not the only one?!

I consider it dumb tax; they deserve it.

If it happened once every few years to me and cost me $.40, sure, mistake.

But it happens multiple times per month and costs me significantly more.

I loved the self-checkout even BEFORE muh covid

Some of the biggest proponents of the $15 minimum wage also spend the most money on AI self service systems such as Amazon and McDonalds.

Robots have already automated me out of a job! (pic8.co)

Fortunately the boss hasn't noticed. since I'm always typing it makes it sound like I must be totally doing work or whatever!

Thank God only burger flippers are getting minimum wage.

Not Walmart employees

Cleaning people

Farm help

Seasonal employees

Nope

None of those people make minimum wage....

Everyone that is against making more money is literally a communist.

If I have to operate the thing, I expect commensurate cashier pay for my time spent being my own cashier and also boxboy pay for bagging my own shit and carrying it out to my car myself, on top of whatever employee discount they might get.

Pretty much every walmart and target primarily use self check-out now. One person watches over 10-15 registers and I'm sure there's some nog watching on camera also.

When I was a kid someone would pump your gas. Have you seen anyone do that in 30 years?
