I was a big fan of Owen's when he was first escaping Hollywood and red-pilling people on the JQ. With time, his need to earn an income from conspiracy-related content turned into a grift. I think Teddy Beale latched onto Owen, and it went downhill from there. Once things got into the Beartaria phase, it was cult status. He was raising hundreds of thousands of dollars from his paypigs to buy himself a house and property in order to get out of the state after he got those 72 followers of his into the fucking mess they did with Patreon. 'Hey cult followers, get together and sue Patreon because we're telling you that you have a case. Wait, now they are countersuing all of you. Oh fuck. Time to go. Listen, I've got this idea called Beartaria. I'm making an LLC to hide all my assets. I just need $400k from all of you guys, and ya know, maybe someday you guys can come out and camp on my property."
Oh I forgot about the suing of Patreon which they turned around and stared suing the bears.
They appear to be winning that case.
Oh yeah, and both he and Teddy started a campaign to just ignore the reality. Just keep saying, 'We're learning important lessons here. This is called winning.'
It was right about that time Owen suddenly had to get out of Washington and over to Idaho. The entire fundraiser and empty promise of creating a giant campground for the bears felt like a modern Jonestown, except he didn't even go as far as bringing anyone. He bought it on the promise that it would become a Jonestown at some future point in time. The grift is strong.
One of the worst parts about the whole thing is that neither Owen nor Teddy ever told their followers that were involved in the suit (72 of them) how much they were suing Patreon for. It was $3.5 million. They never told the people they got to form the class action, so that when the judge threw out their extortion attempt, those 72 had no idea what was coming when Patreon decided to go for arbitration against each of them as individuals.
Then the two good Christian boys went and hired Pornhub's lawyer. You can't make this stuff up.

The two of them fit the old definition of Gypsy: The move into a low rent area near a community of workers with good ethics. They proceed to steal while only claiming to borrow. When the town is sick of them or they have stolen all they can they pack up an move to a new location.
So no different than Pim Tool and the like..Steven Crowder I could go on I understand and agree with you. I quit watching Owen a long time ago but the message is still good. I never give money to anyone, for the cycle is clear. The greed always ruins the man and the message.
