Christianity is a poor ideological basis for terrorism. You have the 6th commandment, for a start, you shall not murder, so... It's quite limiting to say the least when it comes to terrorism. A variation exists, as in "you shall not kill", which is inaccurate translation btw, but the most widespread, so with this you can only go vegan essentially, you can even forget about self defense ultimately with such crap
I talk about christianity because, while not every native european is christian, especially today, they are for the vast majority culturally christian, by their roots. Except jews evidently.
So there's that. Some switched to secular politics, left and right, in place of religion, but you still have christian values at the bottom of this, a mix which can turn a tad suicidal, when it comes to socialists for instance and the center left/left in general. It basically tends to turn into "charity martyrdom", where one virtue signals into sacrificing everything for any new begar in town essentially
