He has a .50 cal sniper rifle. Maybe not the most effective weapon for far range shooting, but he really doesn't have to run anywhere. It's power meets distance more or so anyways.
Psychology of the .50 cal sniper rifle alone (maybe why people would say it's "that guy" alone) is enough to keep most away anyways is what I figure myself. Maybe he lives on a few acres of land where it's really effective to keep anyone away in a certain situation where it's best to do so.
It's almost like a navy seal in a gun form (.50 cal sniper rifle(s) oversold that they are the best sniper rifles and such). - marketing realm alone.
I think this is the best anyways myself. L115A3 - Arctic Warfare Magnum (AWM). Long distance shooting, but the .50 cal definitely has the scare / fear factor of the psychology alone around it (gets most people I want to say).
I should 3D print a fake plastic L115A3 (custom and modified - based off the real one) Sniper Rifle. Too bad they don't make arctic white filament to go along with the overall theme.

You gotta adjust for windage and shit like that so if you don't know what you're doing you're fucked anyway...
I'm not talking far shots. I like the L115A3 because it's proven far range, but I'd be like 100-200 yards out myself at most. Which is around 500 feet or so at most. Not 7,500 feet or whatever.

I don't want to be moving blood and guts due to the .50 cal bullet alone if it hit the right way on someone alone. clean / effective kill in a self defense situation (someone shooting at me from this distance) if I were to be in a situation like that. Again like 100 - 200 yards at most not 2000-3000 yards away or even 1000 yards away.
