It seems they only just started censoring. They claimed to be free of censorship and are mostly made up of reddit refugees.
Thanks for the context. I remember reading posts in Voat of people who got censored there by saying the same stuff they said on Voat so that's why I said it's been a shitty site from the start.
Oh yeah? I didn't really pay much attention to it when it started. The reaction of longer term users to what the admins are trying to do now gave me the impression that this was a new level of censorship.
To be fair, the admins listened to feedback and allowed saying things like 'gas the kikes' because it is not a threat in the legal sense.
But since then it became clear that the admins want 'nazis' off their site despite them claiming to support free speech. They want the site to be more normie-friendly so there is no reasoning with them.
