Damn this takes me back. Looking back Pinwheel looks like a welfare Sesame Street.
It kind of was, looking back on it. It was one of the shows that defined the channel, tho. A lot more wholesome than the crap they run now.
I grew up on Nickelodeon. I think most Gen Xers were. That and after school cartoons and Saturday morning cartoons...which are long gone and replaced with JewCo, LLC trash programming like Dr. Phil and Divorce Court.
To be fair, most saturday cartoons were toy commercials.
I was too late. My 1980s cartoon idea was space faring polar bears wearing kilts that crash-landed on a tropical planet. For some reason, there was a whiny moose as well, but I can't remember my reasoning for it. Furries would probably have fucked it up anyway.
