Picinfinity now checks each host periodically to see if the main page is live as well as if image links are still working.

If the site is down for some reason (host dead / ssl cert expired imgoat / whatever else) picinfinity will disable the host from being returned to users when nagivating to a direct image link.

So, picfinity thinks that it's a good idea that if any little thing is kinda flaky with a site, it should be completely blocked and disabled?

I think what @picman means is Picinfinity will disable a host, and will be enabled back after its health is restored.

It's completely transparent for users, and the images are always available at the best loading times.
