I find the liquid eggs more convenient anyway. And yeah, I went to Walmart tonight. My neighbor has chickens but he’s not selling me any of the eggs.

Regardless, shit is so expensive.

Liquid eggs are pasteurized, denuded of inherent nutritional content and have been "fortified" or "enriched" with shelf stabilizing additives. You may be better metabolically served by cracking your own.

The ones at the store in the carton are not pasteurized?

No, whole eggs are not pasteurized. Back yard eggs or Farmer's Market eggs are the best option. Carton supermarket eggs are next on the list. Liquid eggs, however, are flirting dangerously close to being a food adjacent product.

100% egg whites is the only ingredient. They are pasteurized. :/

The argument against pasteurizing eggs is what, exactly?

Local butcher, Make friends with farmers/ranchers. Grow whatever you can yourself when you can.

If you have the time/space, a couple of chickens are plenty to supply you depending on how many people are in the house. It is not effortless though and is a daily chore/task.

CSA's are sometimes worth it but you have to really look into them. I have been a part of a CSA that kind of sucked and ended up dropping it.

Raising chickens is one of those gateways to farming though.

What does the ingredient label say? I bet it has aluminum de-caking agent in it.

Says 100% liquid egg whites.

They have another product that is called egg makers. Ingredients say egg whites then 1% or less of the following…..(lots of ingredients)

Yeah, stay away from the (((1% or less of the following...))).
