Im not rich or even well off. I work physically and am, well last paycheck to paycheck pretty much. No retirement plans, if Im to old to work Im to old to live. Anyway, especially recently do I save money that continually gets worth less or buy stuff now that continually goes up? Dont fuckin tell me I need to have 6 months worth of cash, blah blah.

Im leaning toward buying more stuff I will need in the future. While its still avaliable.

Yep, even if you have lots of ammo, if you're lacking heat, water, and food, you'll have to venture out and put yourself at risk. I think it would be like a nuclear blast after a loss of power for weeks. If you can lay low for a week or two and just defend your location, a lot of the population will kill each other in the mayhem. Then it will be safer to go out.

You'll at least have some wiggle room to plan your next step.

The population that's left, after a few weeks, is the baddest of the bad, however. Need groups to survive.
