The average person wastes an enormous amount of his income on frivilous purchases. Probably half his paycheck goes out on fast food, junk food, food delivered to the house, cigarettes, liquor and illegal drugs. Women like to buy shoes, jewelry and clothing they don't need and will never wear. Men like to buy toys that make noise and pollute. All this can be cut out of their lives with no negative impact whatsoever. Let's face it, if the average Ugly American lost 50 pounds of fat, it would be a straight plus. Another huge waste -- travel. Cruise lines, hotels, airline tickets, vacation resorts, all cost a huge amount and are all totally unnecessary for most people.
