I owe the equivalent of ~$50k USD on my mortgage at 3.75% interest. I have a well diversified portfolio of stocks, crypto, etc. I also hold some hedges such as annuities, disability insurance, life insurance, cash, and ammo (I wouldn't call them investments since their purpose isn't ROI but rather CYA incase I get hit by a bus or the commies kick down my door).

I can pay off my mortgage immediately using available cash, but I know that's a sub-optimal investment given that inflation currently exceeds my mortgage interest rate. From a purely mathematical perspective, paying off a 3.75% debt is stupid when inflation is > 6%. Particularly since it's not "pay off the mortgage or blow it", it's "pay off the mortgage or invest it in equities or crypto".

However, from an emotional standpoint I hate having any debt. Having a mortgage bothers me even though paying it off early would be financially inefficient.

Poaler bears, what should I do? Min/max my ROI, or payoff my mortgage for muy feels?
