Honestly, if you were to write out everything that was done to Germany in time between 1917 and 1933 without names, framing it as "Imagine if this happened to your country, your state, you town, your family... what would you do?" I think most people would be in agreement with just about most anything to become free.
Especially when you add the qualifier of "No, you can't solve this diplomatically. You can't solve this non-violently. There will be bloodshed and your enemy wants you dead for getting out from under their heel."
"Your country has just lost a war you did not start through infiltrators of a foreign nation. You are being treated the worst, with rampant economic inflation and women forced to prostitute themselves and their children after their husbands and fathers were killed in the war. Foreigners, especially those who share the same origin as those who infiltrated your nation during the war, live in luxury and control most aspects of society while your people starve and are forced to debase themselves for barely enough money to buy bread. Do you hate these people?"
"Your country, after losing the last war (one you did not start), has had a large amount of territory taken from you by a neighboring nation. After years, this nation starts to ethnically cleanse your people from that land and deliberately attacking those who try to flee from this persecution and genocide. What do you do?"
"Your country has escaped the unfair and inhumane debt placed upon them by another country that was starving your people, humiliating them and debasing them while attempting to strip them of their humanity. You are having a culture and economic recovery. Subversive elements are being rooted out and cast out, to the immense joy of your countrymen who are eager to be free and live peaceful lives. Then, the same people who are the cause of the inhumane debt on your country and the sponsors of these subversive elements kill an ambassador of your country in a government building and declare a 'holy' war on you for not letting them do whatever they want. The foreigner civilians that still live in your country agree with this declaration, or do not speak against it. What is your response?"
"You have had war declared on you by a group of powerful, wealthy people in just about every country in the world. This is because you did not allow the rape and defilement of your country and your people. Still, you try and broker peace with the people of the nations that have declared war on you, knowing that their leaders all march to the same beat. You try multiple times, but each time are rebuffed by the leaders of these nations. You are lied about, made into monsters with the most inhuman and literally impossible lies told about you. Their propaganda machines are at full tilt spreading these lies about you. The only way to stop this is either through total capitulation - which will lead to women and children being raped in mass and your country destroyed with violence still being visited upon you and lies still being spread - or through fighting it. Which do you choose?"
