That rig looks like it would be really easy to restore.

Possibly. Didn’t look closely at the frame.

Do you remember what they were asking for it? The track sprockets look great, tracks look good, mostly cosmetic wear from what I can see. The engine appears to be about a 5-8HP 4-stroke. 2 hydraulic sticks, probably a blade lift hydraulic somewhere too. Missing engine cover.

My cousin had a similar one when we were kids, but his had a back hoe on it as well.

Before you ask, I'll tell you what happened to it. You know "those" other cousins, the ones that when they're coming over you hide all of your good shit so they don't break it? Yeah, those fuck heads drove it into a muddy creek, or so they claim. We'd spend a bunch of time each year for several years looking for it, but never found it. Instead of paying for what their kids essentially completely destroyed, their parents just stopped coming by the farm, so there was some good to come out of it.

I do know "those people," we had some in the family like that as well. Fortunately they kept to themselves.

Came across one very similar near a mine opening down by the border in AZ a few years back. Old mining equipment was scattered all up and down the wash. At least five old trailer houses packed wall to wall, floor to ceiling were scattered about as well in places that left you baffled as to how they got them to where they were. Gonna try to get back to it this winter, there’s a fortune in “yard art” there.

Was this at a yard sale?

Where do your feet go?

Those wing-like things that angle downward are channels for your legs to rest in.

Really?

I was wondering if that was, but it didn't look like it was

thanks

It's not really a machine designed for a modern audience.

Kind of like the piece of electronics equipment I have in front of me now. Big holes in the back where the cord goes in, but you can just stick your finger in it and touch the high-voltage taps on the transformer.
