This is from money that I've been setting aside for well over two years. All of the events I normally attended were cancelled, so all the cash went in a pot.
A lot of the convention-type events that I would have normally attended this year are asking for your papers, and I said fook that and I'm saving even MORE money not going.
I find it disturbing how quickly too many of us accepted "Papers, please."
Probably a worthwhile investment.
You'll get to be the dispatcher when the Apocalypse comes.
If the world goes to hell, those cheap baofeng 2-way radios are going to be a godsend. I keep reminding the old fucks in radio that a license won't mean shit if the government is fighting to keep what's left of the country alive.
Good stuff. Fuck going anywhere that wants papers, that is for sure.
The hamfest still had a few people wearing masks, but the population of said events tends to be older, and somewhat sickly. If they want to, let 'em I guess. The rest didn't care.
Yeah, it is silly, but if it makes the older folks feel better then w/e.
The only people I really laugh at are those in the car by themselves or walking outside. I mean who are you protecting yourself from? Idiots.
