This is from money that I've been setting aside for well over two years. All of the events I normally attended were cancelled, so all the cash went in a pot.
A lot of the convention-type events that I would have normally attended this year are asking for your papers, and I said fook that and I'm saving even MORE money not going.
I find it disturbing how quickly too many of us accepted "Papers, please."
Probably a worthwhile investment.

If the world goes to hell, those cheap baofeng 2-way radios are going to be a godsend. I keep reminding the old fucks in radio that a license won't mean shit if the government is fighting to keep what's left of the country alive.

The hamfest still had a few people wearing masks, but the population of said events tends to be older, and somewhat sickly. If they want to, let 'em I guess. The rest didn't care.
