I have to limit myself when I go there. I saw a lovely rack-mount WWV receiver that I wanted to take home, but I thought "What would I use it for?"

I did end up dragging home an HP3440 Nixie DVM, but that's because I need parts to keep my other ones going. The guy said "It works," but you could tell it didn't. Still came up and almost worked, a testament to the engineering of Old White Men in White Shirts and Black Ties.

yeah, back when coffee and love of family was enough to inspire genius, and you could get gas for ten cents or something..
