Monitor, disk drives, and base unit. Neat, but worthless. Other than PC cards and drives, that (and the previously posted stuff) was the only computing equipment I saw this year.

I remember getting 20 AmericaOnline CDs every week. "YOUR FIRST 1,000 HOURS ONLINE ARE FREE!" America Online had chatrooms. It was the precursor to this. I got banned from America Online for telling a joke (whatdidHitlersaytoMussoliniwhenheshowedupunexpectedlyinBerlin?IfIknewyouwerecomingI'dhavebakedakike.) and it's been downhill ever since.

Shitpost from the start. It’s the only way.

I would've picked it up. It would be the second Apple product I've ever purchased. First was a secondhand keyboard years ago for my wife. It was the one with the clear frame/case and white buttons.

It's the Dayton Hamvention. That was taken in the flea market area.

I have to limit myself when I go there. I saw a lovely rack-mount WWV receiver that I wanted to take home, but I thought "What would I use it for?"

I did end up dragging home an HP3440 Nixie DVM, but that's because I need parts to keep my other ones going. The guy said "It works," but you could tell it didn't. Still came up and almost worked, a testament to the engineering of Old White Men in White Shirts and Black Ties.

Donate it to the Smithsonian. The Smithsonian has an enormous collection of software that they cannot run because they do not have compatible machines.

It’s not mine and apples are way common.

Only $500?

I have an Apple ][+ people have said is worth a ton.

$500 seems low for this collector’s item.

They’re only worth what someone will pay.

Really? It seems high for me. I mean, it is in good condition, sure. But they also sold a whole lot of these. Although now that I look around eBay .. yea that might be about the right price for one in that condition. The peak time to get these cheap would have been around 2005~2010. A bet a ton ended up in landfills.

Right I think schools bought these en mass.
