I own my property outright and it pisses me off to no end every six months when I get that bill, but I cannot advocate for shifting that tax burden to income tax. Who benefits the most from this? It is the boomers. GenX and younger are working their asses off to pay for their and their parent's indulgences. Enough of shifting the burden to benefit them.

Abolish the state and local income taxes. I fill out FOUR returns a year. Income taxes also destroy what little wealth the rank and file can get.

EDIT: While we're at it, abolish HOAs and time shares. Both are cancers of the real estate market.
