They moved their headquarters from the west side near what was Westland Mall (it's an eh area) to the more tony suburb of New Albangmee because New Albangmee. I doubt that helped them at all. Used to be farm country out there.
Stopped in the big lots near here. Small discounts on marked prices - their laundry detergent has always been reasonable so I picked up several of the perfume-free ones I like at 5% off marked. Probably the last time I'll be in one.
Typical tax avoidance scam/job jacking from Columbus. Looks like it didn't work out after all. I never did go into Big Lots stores all that much.
I can't imagine it was cheaper moving out there. I think they did it just because New Albany is so hot right now.
And the "Intel Saves Ohio" thing looks farther and father away every day.
Especially when the Governor and the Intel rep went onto NPR (I think) and cut an interview and it did not match anything what the local media is pushing to the people. I'll look for it but they straight up said it was going to house 30-40 people at most and anytime chip production was needed they were going to bring in already experience workers from another plant. I don't get it. The CHIPS act was already a bust for the area.
