I feel like the article is deliberately misleading in the fact that it, and all of the secondary sources, don't really mention it wasn't in operation. There is a little blurb in there about how it closed in 2016, and that's it.

It's hard to tell what state the processing equipment, had any remained, was in. If there wasn't any, it was just an empty building.
