By which I mean they get dogs that are bred to do something but just buy them because they "look cute" and they never get to do that something, and instead they just get cooped up in a tiny backyard--or a crate in an apartment--for most of their life. There are far, far too many Whites out there who own dogs just to say that they own a dog, a status symbol, and that seems a bit kiked to me.
