Most likely they (sub-Saharan Africans) were elevated from a pure Homo erectus form via genetic introgression from the actual humans to the north. Caucasoids used to occupy much more territory than commonly understood, including northern Africa. So basically, Europeans are not more "nigger-like"; niggers are more "European-like."
