It was the only way to actually play the campaign of Perfect Dark. Otherwise you could only play the multi player part. If I remember correctly. My mom was PISSED when I told her I need to spend an extra $40 to play my new game.
I played the fuck out of Perfect Dark though.
Goldeneye got all the fame, but perfect dark was definitely the best shooter. The multiplayer had a huge variety of weapons.. I loved proximity mines and the fly by wire rockets.
I liked the pump shotgun with the alt that let you fire a 2 round burst with a longer pump reload.
Oh and I want a Mag Sec 4 in real life but with a 33 rnd magazine.
So many fun guns in that game. Except the one with the big rotating barrel and you fed the mags through the receiver sideways and it loaded all the bullets at once. That thing was fucking retarded.
Perfect Dark was arguably the best game on the console. I'd rank Conker as best, but Dark right behind at 2
