You have to have your radar on at full power all the time listening to clues for anything that could harm them. Fucking toddlers walk into wood stoves all the time. Men are wired to ignore EVERYTHING except the most important information because that is what you need for hunting and war parties. You cannot be distracted by infinite useless detail, you have to focus only on the one thing that matters which is the kill. That person CANNOT ignore small details, they notice every chew, every breath they take and their brains spins endlessly creating narratives to make sense of what they are seeing.
