My idea that I didn't implement because I hate what it would do was to create an app that uses the phone camera to display what it views in a semi-transparent overlay on the screen, similar to the video viewer application for the ATI Radeon All-In-Wonder 900 I had in college that I used to watch TV while I studied and did my programming homework.
