That is a stupid comment from Ridley, but "Rise of Skywalker" had an impossible task. After Rian's deliberate sabotage of the trilogy, there were too many broken pieces to try and put back together. That doesn't mean we need to like the movie, they did make many bad choices, but they started in horrible position.

You seriously need to. His redo is WAY better, and just imagining it played out as he describes makes it convey emotion and intensity, unlike the stupid fucking movie itself.
I have to buy his books one of these days; I'm sure they're pretty good. They sell well, according to amazon at least.
