To be honest, I've never really looked into National Socialism. Can one of you give me the pitch? An introduction, not some 800 page treaties.

Socialism is the belief that power should be taken from the individual and given to "the party" to run things on behalf of the "greater good." It's a very naive thought that government officials will have your best interest in mind, and that they can make decisions for you on your behalf that are better than your own.

Historically it has been an effective way to take over a society. The poor are convinced that they will all share in the power and property of the nation. The problem is that a small group of people are chosen to rule on behalf of the rest, and the result is despotism by a few over the rest.

The key to a good system is to decentralize power into the hands of the individual. The individual controls their property. The individual owns guns. When power is centralized in the hands of a few, and the rest are disarmed, then you end up with hell on earth.

The "national" part of national socialism is the belief that the despots will be more benevolent if they're the same race. It may be true to some extent, but I don't care what color the boot on my neck is.

Yeah that's my opinion. I'm a strong individualist. But I want to learn about why NatSoc people believe as they do. Who knows? Maybe all this individualism will always end in despotism; maybe the American experiment is a failure and everything I believe is wrong. It's best to learn about ideology from those who have an educated belief in it.

I agree with you. I like to debate ideas so that both sides end up with a better understanding.
