Yep, $80K is fine but you have to work hard for it. Trades definitely don't deserve the vilification they get, but if you really want to make serious money you've got to get people working for you... At which point you're a business owner, with a different set of skills and challenges, and it hasn't really got much to do with being a tradie anymore.
