On the workout part, I agree with you and it is not strange at all not to eat before a workout or a run because you'll puke it out afterward. It is best to fast before an intensive workout, then feed yourself water with a small but good breakfast. Careful with some of current breakfast and protein bars because many of them have soybean oil and soy protein in them.

Most other pre-workout powders some will have soy & a lot of other nasty synthetic sugars such as aspartame along with caffiene. I know about NOexplosion and that is a good workout powder to use since it doesn't have soy, but it has Ace-K (Acesulfame Potassium) in it and that sugar alcohol makes me ill to my stomach.

it's hard to know on the phytoestrogens (phytoestrogens in soy) and such. It's not always bad to eat phytoestrogens and such since they help in the regulation of estrogen levels for men alone from what I understand, but you don't want to overdo it from what I hear to as well (not sure who wins in this argument, but figure to be safe and not overdo it).

phytoestrogens or whatever are said to mimic estrogens or whatever (not an expert) - this would be best in a comedy bit alone due to the two whatevers alone. IDK for sure myself.

phytoestrogens due help to regulate estrogen from what I understand myself for now at least.

many fitness types like steamed broccoli so they'd be in the "soy boy" realm alone that way.

eggs to as well - soy boy - phytoestrogen realm to as well.

soy boy realm alone - anyone eating these foods and such alone are "soy boys" - eggs / broccoli / carrots / olive oil / peppers - nuts to as well are in this realm, but not on the list from what I've seen. not sure which ones.

oats are on the list to as well. oats used to be big for breakfast and/or still are big in the fitness world (can't remember). I remember many people recommending oats alone.

steel cut oats I think though so IDK for sure.

this is within reason here as well since I put in some strange humor though for this post alone.

flax seed is higher than soy for the most part to as well. anyone taking flax seed oil supplements and such alone most likely get more phytoestrogens than anyone drinking soy based products (but IDK for sure - I think it's higher amounts someone may be getting).

moderation is key from what I figure myself. You wouldn't want too much phytoestrogens I'd figure as a guy and/or male / man (drinking soy based products high in phytoestrogens), but IDK myself exactly. figure you wouldn't though.

side note: kind of troll on this one at times to make a point.

bit unorthodox on this one (kind of going full troll at times to make a point). figure it's high doses of phytoestrogens to as well though or something like this if it were to happen since the phytoestrogens (indoles) in broccolli alone are in smaller amounts alone (regulation of estrogen and again IDK for sure).

kind of stukov from Starcraft 2 (unorthodox methods for this time line - unorthodox - not traditional or really that accepted widely, but for show at least) mixed with a troll at times when it comes to my post here.
