War is fantastically expensive, and there are only a few ways to fund it. You can raise taxes, which is universally unpopular. People don't like the fruits of their labor going towards killing random niggers they have no personal beef with. You can take on debt from other nations, which is incredibly risky; See Decline of the Spanish Empire. Or, and this is gonna sound kinda crazy, but hear me out, you can just print money! As long as your currency isn't back by anything, you can just print money, make it out of thin air. It is kind of like taxing your population, but better, because they almost never notice. You ever wonder why we are almost always at war, but you never see War Taxes implemented like they used to in the old days? It is because they figured out you won't notice if they just make more money, and send it off to Israel or the Ukraine. Yeah, the money is worth less with every passing day, but by the time you notice and bitch about soaring egg prices, the important people have already been paid. And these Wars aren't meant to be won; When was the last time the US actually 'Won' a War? These Wars are continuous, and serve a far more important purpose than human life; They make people fucking rich.
