Where is the complex matrix of "Its (finally) the year of desktop Linux".
Yeah, it's been that for a long fucking time but it's not for everyone. Though, for most people it is more than enough and is pretty fucking easy these days.
Literally the only thing I ever hear anymore is anticheat. The people who claim it's "hard" or "Doesn't use X Software" typically are too lazy or stupid and there's no fixing either of those nor is it worth the effort to try
Modern Linux is sort of like the Internet in the early 2000's. Most people cant/don't understand it.
We really fucked up by changing that about the internet. They still don't understand it but now they USE it....
The last thing we need are the mouth breathers killing Linux too.. They have been working really hard to make that happen for a long time though.
There really should be a minimal level of effort for entry for most of life. We keep making it easier and the faggots keep fucking it up.

Ubuntu is taking the lead on that front, and Fedora/RedHat are throwing in on that game too. But as long as Arch exists we'll probally still be OK
People don't really want to learn how their devices work anymore. Linux is the antithesis of that. Unless it's Android or ChromeOS or any of the other bastardized Linuxes.
Tell me about it. my clients and staff at work use Mac and Chromebook. When even a simple thing doesn't work they literally have massive email chains about what to do. That Amazon outage a few weeks ago was pure comedy
