I don't really need electricity, my house is heated with a woodstove and I've got an oil lamp plus candles. Most of my food is either dried or canned so it won't really be a big deal if the fridge dies. I'll just have to gather my elderly neighbors if the power does go out, their heat doesn't work without it.

Need power to post on POAL! Lol! Glad to hear you are in good shape to weather the storm, and looking out for your elderly neighbors. I bought a 250ft roll of 12-2 and ran it through the culvert under the road to my neighbor's house so they could benefit from my generator. I even measured their VDC at their end and at the generator to make sure they were getting nearly 120V and my supply at the generator did not exceed 125V and blow my appliances.
