I bought a 250ft roll of 12-2 and ran it through the culvert under the road to my neighbor's house so they could benefit from my generator. I even measured their VDC at their end and at the generator to make sure they were getting nearly 120V and my supply at the generator did not exceed 125V and blow my appliances.
