In the early to mid 2000's $100-150 was enough for a month depending on how you cook/eat and where you lived.
It is painfully comical when I go to a store for "random things I forgot" and it turns out to fill a small bag for ~80.

You fucking bet I was better off 4 years ago. I was saving more money, I was making more money, food and other goods were cheaper and I was not looking WWIII in the face.
