Why is that?
It would mean there’s a subset of people who aren’t able to engage with ideas meaningfully. They merely respond to stimuli like a chatbot, recognizing the topic and certain keywords, searching their database for a pat, prefabbed opinion on the matter, and printing a response. I guess if it’s the small tail of the bell curve then it’s not that big of a problem and it’s to be expected, but I have a fear the middle of the bell curve is this way too. I have a feeling it tends to be less obvious in face to face situations and more obvious online.
The NPC problem basically.
Maybe the middle of the bell is doing IRL activism instead of posting online. Something anyone can do.
