The muh grass in the road thing has only been a thing for a couple years. Motorcycles and people mowing their grass into the road have been things for a long time. What changed that made people afraid of grass all of a sudden? I rarely ride my bike anymore, but I've never felt like I was in danger riding over grass.

I never ran into this situation when I used to frequently ride. I'm guessing riding over that much grass would be like hitting a patch of gravel in the road.. its probably fine if your not leaning into a turn.
