I used to belong to a group on nosebook focused on making nature memes. Nature all around was simply celebrated there and everyone liked to share their knowledge.
This type of meme was made there about a biodiverse lawn and the admins had to shut the post down and make a new rule about discussing the bad impact these modern lawns are having on the enviroment because people were really throwing down in the comments section. they were worried facebook would notice the rifraf and shut the page down.
The typical suburban lawn looks lifeless to me. Not in that it's all dirt or dead, but that there's nothing to it. There's orderly upkeep, then there's just a swatch of cut grass that you do nothing with. Not a tree, or shrubs, or even anything on it. If it weren't so empty, soulless, it wouldn't be so bad.
