Air BnBs have their place. Sure, most of them don't have the same amenities as a hotel, but it's a different experience entirely. What an Air BnB has over a hotel room is SPACE. Oh, and cooking amenities. If you have a decent sized family, an Air Bnb can totally be a better choice. Can. Not is, but can. Again, there are a lot of factors.
A year ago, we stayed at an Air BnB in Reno and it was SO MUCH BETTER than a hotel. We could spread out, be relaxed about food, and generally not bother each other during down times. But then, The Peppermill in Reno is awesome too, so it really depends on what sort of stay you're having.
