I technically could just work the farm but it would be financially tight. I'm kind of self employed but only work doing my city job because I work alone and get most of the work done in about 3 hours and get paid for 8. I just pretend I'm busy and my only encounters with others are passing by in the corridor or the parking lot. My mother is still grieving the death of her husband so we don't have an option of making her leave. She has her own floor and we have ours at home then I inherit it when she eventually passes. She's a strong woman mentally but unable to work at her age. She mainly gardens and plants the fields.
