There was not a single crusade to save jews. They were always the enemy of the church up until late 19th century when William Darby theorised about Dispensationalism which basically lumped the judeo into the whole of Christianity since "muh Gods people" and such. Coincidentally, the same time this occurred, Marx published his manifesto and communism, racism, and all the rest was also brought into existence.
