I was going to think this as well but I decided to go with "dumb nigress" as the answer. Foreward is the usual spelling for an intro to a book so I think she just didn't know how to spell "ceiling" and probably had a diversity hire editor from Tukqwakmuluk or some bizarre jungle encampment somewhere in chimpfrica.
