What happens when parts for old cars become rare? They just need to quit making them. 3d printing is fine for some parts. Not all can be made that way.

I helped source a battery for a 2005 Accord Hybrid maybe 7 years ago. I don’t think it was a true hybrid but it had a high voltage battery pack for like regenerative braking and some other features. It was $2,200.

These new EVs, even “cheap” ones now have batteries costing 10x that?

Sounds like those cars become disposable. GREAT for the environment or (((someone’s))) pockets?

Now I wish I hadn't deleted my Reddit account, I'd love to post this there saying how "it's dumb to put the spare tire on top of the engine" and see how many people agree with me.
